Frequently Asked Questions

There are so many questions when it comes to deciding if a wedding venue is right for you. We’ve put together a few that we get asked a lot, but please get in touch with any others that come to mind. 

Do you have catering or do we find someone ourselves?

Waldara does not provide catering. You get to choose exactly what type of catering you want, there are no restrictions. We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen for the caterer of your choice to use, we can also suggest some great caterers from the local area.

Do we supply our own alcohol?

Waldara does not supply alcohol, it’s a BYO venue. We just ask that drinks be served by RSA qualified bar staff for the event.

How many people can stay on the property?

Twenty people can stay the night at the property.

Where do the rest of my guests stay?

There are many places to stay around the local township of Oberon. Please refer to our recommended accommodation list.

Will there be anyone from Waldara there on the day?

Yes. There will be a property manager there on the day for the duration of your event.

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?

You can perform the ceremony out of the weather in the shearing shed, our indoor ceremony space. The reception barn is weather proof and has heating!

What is the curfew?

Everyone must be off the property by midnight unless you are one of the 20 people staying on the property.

How far is Oberon from Sydney?

Two hours and forty five minutes drive.

Can I book a tour of the property so I can see it for myself?

Of course. Just email us and we can organize a venue viewing for you.

Do we do the styling ourselves?

Waldara does not provide styling. You are free to decorate and style your wedding however you like, as long as the venue is left in the condition in which you found it

How do my guests get to and from the wedding?

There is a local bus and car hire company in Oberon that will pick your guests up from their respective accommodations and deliver them to Waldara for the wedding. They will then pick guests up at the end of the night and drop them back at their accommodation.

Are there any hidden costs?

No we won’t surprise you with any extra costs, everything listed on our brochure is included in the price of booking.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer significantly discounted prices for winter weddings, any wedding held in June, July or August. There is also a discount for the months of January and May. Check the wedding PDF for all our pricing options.

Can I hire Waldara for other events besides weddings?

Yes you can. Get in touch with us and we will be happy to chat with you about your event.

Do we allow pets

Waldara does not allow pets, sorry.

Is there parking on site

Yes, there is plenty of parking on site.

Do we allow camping

Waldara does not allow camping on the propety.
